The jury in Alex Murdaugh’s murder trial began deliberations after the defense and prosecution finished their closing arguments Thursday. The day began with Judge Clifton Newman removing a juror after learning she had discussed the case with other people. Murdaugh, who is accused of killing his wife and son at their South Carolina home in 2021, denies any involvement in the shootings.
