Woman Breastfeeds Dog to 'Feel Like a Better Mother'

"A photo of a woman, Terri Graham, breastfeeding her dog has appeared in the UK edition of Closer magazine. The photo shows Graham, 44, breastfeeding her 9-year-old daughter's dog, a pug named Spider.

According to The Huffington Post, Graham, in an interview with Closer, said she is aware that many would say she is a "freak." She said, however, that breastfeeding the dog nourishes it and that her action makes her a better mother. She told Closer: "Having Spider suckle on my boob means I finally feel complete and a better mother."

Gawker reports that the pug called Spider, was the "runt of the litter." Graham, a native of California, noticed in 2010 that Spider, who was refusing to eat its dog food, began licking the teat of the bottle Terri used to feed her son Lucas.
