This drew some swift criticism on Twitter, and a counterpoint from The Week's Marc Ambinder, who noted that one woman who lost limbs in combat, Tammy Duckworth, is now serving as a Democrat in the House of Representatives."*
Many conservatives including former congressman Allen West are sounding off against the recent lifting of the ban on women fighting on the front lines in the military, calling it among many things a "misconceived lib vision."
