Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal sees the rise of radical Islamists such as ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood and has looked to the past for a solution. Jindal has called for a ban of entry into the United States for anyone that identifies as or has affiliations with these groups. His reasoning comes straight out of 1950's McCarthyism . Rather than deal with these people, just straight up ban them much the same way that communists were denied entry at the height of the Cold War . The fact that this ban could be used to keep out people from a racially motivated stand point, or abused in other ways seems to not have occurred to Gov. Jindal."
