"In a world rife with 'suicide-by-cop' a story about an officer who refused to kill a suspect almost seems like an oddity. But that is exactly what happened as rookie officer Jesse Kidder of Ohio apprehended suspect Michael Wilcox. Wilcox, wanted in connection with two murders, repeatedly charged Kidder, asking several times to be shot. The officer, with his gun drawn, continuously jumps out of the way and refuses to execute Wilcox. Eventually he surrendered and was taken into custody where he is being held on a two million dollar bail."
