"More than half of people surveyed by Mastercard said they’d rather have their naked photos plastered online than their financial information stolen or compromised.
About 77% of people are concerned about the security of their financial information, according to a survey of 1,000 Americans ages 18 and older released Thursday, compared with just 55% who are most worried about leaked nude pictures, 59% about their home being robbed and 62% about an email hack.
The survey sought to gauge consumers’ emotions on online security at a time when becoming a breach victim is almost inevitable. The Identity Theft Resource Center, a San Diego-based nonprofit, counts 380 breaches this year alone, comprising more than 117 million records."
