“A man who spent the night in an Amsterdam detention center this weekend says he was arrested, fined and banned from a major airline after mistakenly reaching for the plane door, apparently thinking it was the bathroom.
James Gray was flying from Edinburgh to Amsterdam on a KLM flight when he allegedly tried to open the plane door—an impossible task, thanks to cabin pressure. Despite the physics, the airline called Dutch authorities on Gray, who says he only touched the handle.”
