"House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) addressed his recent comments about the Benghazi committee again on Wednesday, urging people to "stop playing politics."
McCarthy last week touted the House Select Committee on Benghazi's success in hurting Hillary Clinton, prompting outcries from Democrats that the committee was formed for political reasons.
"Let’s be very clear: Benghazi is not political," McCarthy said when asked about his comments at a press conference with House leadership, according to National Journal. "It was created for one purpose and one purpose only: to find the truth on behalf of the families of the four dead Americans. Period.””*
