“A grandmother admitted in court Monday that she attempted to smuggle drugs hidden in her vagina and bra into a maximum-security prison during a visit with her son.
Linda Ethal Sheridan, 62, faces four drug-related charges after her failed smuggling attempt on July 22, 2013.
That afternoon, Sheridan and her 10-year-old granddaughter went to the Edmonton Institution for a private, three-day visit with her incarcerated son. As per policy, both were searched by a drug-sniffing dog upon entry. The dog detected drugs on Sheridan.
Sheridan was escorted to a woman’s bathroom where she removed three packages containing methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana resin from her vagina. The drugs were wrapped in cellophane and condoms, prosecutor Monique Dion told court.”
