12:31Now PlayingMarco Rubio has a new campaign ad set to play in Iowa. It’s very short on policy positions, and very long on religious pandering. Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies) and John Iadarola (ThinkTank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"As the Rubio campaign tries to halt the momentum of Senator Ted Cruz in Iowa, it has released a new ad aimed directly at evangelical voters, called “Faith,” in which Senator Marco Rubio discusses Christianity...
The ad is in line with the style of the Rubio campaign ads thus far — the candidate, in a crisp suit and set against a black background — with one notable exception: Mr. Rubio is sitting as he speaks, and addressing someone off-camera instead of directly facing the camera. A leather chair adds to the interviewlike setting. Mr. Rubio begins by saying, “Our goal is eternity, the ability to live alongside our creator and for all time.””*
