“Jamie Gilt, 31, could still face criminal charges after her 4-year-old boy found a fully-loaded .45-caliber handgun in the backseat next to his booster seat and pulled the trigger.
The wounded gun fanatic found herself in an awkward and painful position when she was shot just a day after bragging about the little boy’s shooting prowess. Her personal blog and social media sites are filled with posts in support of gun ownership and the Second Amendment.
And that won’t change, her mother said.
“This was an accident and nothing more,” Gilt’s 71-year-old mother Jane Bramble told the London Sun.“All the gun control people are jumping on this, but it will not change her opinion about owning guns. She is very pro-gun and will not change her opinion about owning them. She will keep her guns and I’m happy that she will.”
