“The man arrested en route to the Los Angeles LGBT Pride festival with weapons, James Wesley Howell, of Indiana, has a criminal past involving guns.
A June, 2015 video shows Howell shooting a rapid firing weapon into the ground saying it was “fun as hell.”
Howell was arrested Sunday after telling police officers he was en route to L.A. Pride where he “wanted to harm” the event. He was heavily armed with what police called a “small arsenal” in his car.
TMZ also reported that Howell was arrested within the last year after pointing a gun in a threatening manner at a neighbor during an argument. He agreed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of “intimidation” and the firearm charge was dropped. He’s still serving his one-year probation for that crime.”
