"“I gave it my all, I gave it my heart, I worked my tail off,” he told Wallace in the interview. “Looking back on it I’m not sure what I could’ve done [differently].”
Wallace grilled Bush directly about the fact that he got pushed around during the heated primary race. “Do you ever think ‘If I just slugged him in the jaw at the first debate, maybe I would’ve gone down but would’ve done my country and my party a service by taking down the school yard bully’?”
“I mean, he cyberbullied you!” Wallace said over Bush’s response. “What he did in the context as a candidate would get any kid kicked out of any school in America.”
Bush balked. “This is the environment of reality TV… kudos for Trump for winning the nomination. It was extraordinary.””*
