The heavily conservative Wall Street Journal has taken a hatchet to the Trump campaign. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

“Donald Trump “needs to stop blaming everyone else and decide if he wants to behave like someone who wants to be President—or turn the nomination over to Mike Pence,” says a Journal editorial today. “The polls show that Mr. Trump is on the path to losing a winnable race,” as his advisers and family keep hoping he’ll be more disciplined .

Kevin Hassett and Aparna Mathur review the flood of research confirming their 2006 finding that “the corporate tax is for the most part paid by workers.” This means that politicians can immediately boost wages of average Americans by reducing the industrialized world’s highest corporate income tax rate. Donald Trump wants to cut the federal rate to 15% from 35% and even President Obama favors a modest reduction. Unfortunately “ Hillary Clinton is the outlier. To the detriment of her working-class supporters, she has failed to back even a minor cut to corporate taxes.”

The Democratic nominee also opposes reform in education. “Throughout this campaign season, Democrats have feigned confusion about why disaffected Republicans have not embraced Hillary Clinton,” write Harvard professors Paul Peterson and Martin West. “But the K-12 education plank in the Democratic Party platform does a lot to explain the hesitance. The party’s promises seem designed to satisfy teachers unions rather than to appeal to ordinary Democrats, much less opposition moderates.”
