“It looks like Halloween came early for three students at a Florida high school. However, the school's administration didn’t seem to think it was a very humorous “trick” or “treat.”
Administration at a Florida high school are taking disciplinary action against three students who reportedly arrived to class Thursday wearing Ku Klux Klan costumes. The Wiregrass Ranch High School students were seen wearing white pointed hoods, CBS Miami reported Friday. Eyeholes were cut from the hoods, drawing an unmistakable comparison to the infamous White Knights.
Although the students have not been identified, officials say two of the students in question were Hispanic and one was of Middle Eastern descent, New York Daily News reported. Initials reports originally confirmed that the costumes were meant to commemorate the school’s spirit week and the garb was in fact supposed to represent a ghost costume.
“Usually ghosts don’t have pointed hats,” school Superintendent Kurt Browning told reporters.”
