"During a gubernatorial debate Tuesday evening, North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory said Caitlyn Jenner should plan to use men’s public restrooms when she visits the state. “In the private sector in North Carolina, she can go wherever the private sector wants her to,” McCrory said. “If she’s going to a shower facility at [University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill] after running around the track, she’s going to use the men’s shower.” McCrory made the statement during a defense of House Bill 2, his state’s controversial anti-LGBT and transgender bathroom law. In addition to public anger the measure caused, a number of private businesses and events have pulled out of North Carolina over the new measure.”*
