“The Crusader, the official newspaper of the Ku Klux Klan endorsed the Republican front-runner on the front page of its October issue, CNN is reporting.
The KKK newspaper carried a banner which read “Make America Great Again” and followed it up with an article rationalizing Trump’s campaign slogan, admitting he was the better candidate for the “dialogue moving forward.”
His campaign team has since shut down any attempt of a Donald Trump endorsement by the KKK calling the publication disgusting and not in any way supporting the views of the Manhattan billionaire towards the diversity that celebrates the American nation.
“Mr. Trump and the campaign denounce hate in any form. This publication is repulsive and their views do not represent the tens of millions of Americans who are uniting behind our campaign.”
Pastor Thomas Robb, who wrote the article said the KKK, was not officially endorsing Trump for the presidency but trying to draw attention to his slogan and if American could truly be great again.”
