"Boris Epshteyn, special assistant to President Donald Trump and assistant communications director for surrogate operations, is expected to leave his job in the White House, according to several reports.
Politico first reported news of Epshteyn's departure on Saturday, citing multiple unnamed sources close to the administration. He is expected to take another role in Trump's administration...
The New York Times reported, citing an unnamed source briefed on the discussions, that Epshteyn's departure was not "an acrimonious situation" and came at both his and the administration's behest.
Epshteyn was responsible for booking White House officials and surrogates on news networks, with whom he became increasingly combative, according to two unnamed sources familiar with his tenure cited in the New York Times' report.”*
