“PASADENA, Calif.— Actress Eliza Dushku spoke out on Saturday, saying a stunt coordinator sexually molested her when she was 12 when she was working on the 1994 film "True Lies." She said that Joel Kramer "groomed" her for months to earn her and her parents' trust.
In a disturbing post on her Facebook account Saturday, Dushku detailed the alleged assault and also said that Kramer, then 36, caused her to be injured on the set as payback for disclosing the alleged misconduct to a friend. Kramer denied the accusations as "lies" in trade publication interviews.
A Dushku representative didn't immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday.
Worldwide Production Agency told Deadline that they dropped Kramer as a client as a result of the allegations.
"These are outlandish, manipulated lies," Kramer told Deadline. "I never sexually molested her. ... I think she's making this up in her imagination."
"True Lies" filmmaker James Cameron said he was unaware of what he called Dushku's "heartbreaking" experience and lauded her as "very brave" for speaking up.”
