"Robert Mercer, President Trump’s billionaire buddy, spent $2 million to help fund anti-Muslim ads targeting voters in swing states in the months before the 2016 election, according to a report released Thursday.
The promos, which ran for select voters on Google and Facebook, were made to look like travel ads.
The video, titled “Welcome to the Islamic States of America,” featured the “Hollywood” sign replaced with the phrase “Allahu Akbar” and the Statue of Liberty wearing a burka."
