"Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rolled out a new rule for Republicans on Tuesday, and her supporters were all about it.
Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old Democratic congressional candidate for New York's 14th district, tweeted that anyone who was "cool with" the pricey GOP tax cuts last year could not complain about calls for government-provided universal healthcare. After all, she said, the money went to "freebies for people with yachts that have tiny yachts inside.”

Supporters were quick to endorse and disseminate the proposed rule. The post got nearly 20,000 retweets in just a few hours.
Ocasio-Cortez, a proud Latino resident of the Bronx, calls herself a democratic socialist. According to her website, she supports medicare for all, the abolition of ICE, higher education for all, a gun control/assault weapons ban, and housing as a human right.
Since toppling 10-term incumbent Rep. Rep. Joe Crowley in last month's Democratic primary, Ocasio-Cortez has made frequent media appearances and been widely celebrated as the fresh face of the party's up-and-coming progressive wing.”*
