"President Donald Trump's troubles with his former lawyer Michael Cohen took a potentially damaging twist Thursday when the attorney representing the porn star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against Trump alleged that multiple other women had been paid off by Trump or his allies and suggested Trump may even have covered up a pregnancy.
"Donald Trump conspired with Michael Cohen to pay off multiple other women prior to Election Day in 2016," the lawyer Michael Avenatti tweeted . "They were also concerned about a pregnancy. Cohen has evidence and info in his possession and it must be released to the public."
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is suing Trump to release her from an agreement in which she was paid to keep quiet about an affair she says she had with Trump in 2006. Cohen's legal team this week released recordings Cohen had kept in which he and Trump appeared to discuss whether to pay for the rights to the story of another woman who said she had an affair with Trump; the National Enquirer had already purchased those rights. Trump has denied both having affairs with either of those women."
