"In remarks condemned as “absolutely disgusting atrocity propaganda,” US political analyst Van Jones used an image posted by Israeli actor and activist Noa Tishby in a bid to deny that Israel’s annihilation and siege of Gaza—which fueled a famine officially declared by the world’s top hunger authority—caused many Palestinian children to starve to death.

A video posted by Tishby on Instagram features Jones—who served as then-President Barack Obama’s special adviser for green jobs—saying that “we now have this world where, when you see something on social media, you have to ask yourself the question, is this real?”"
