Journalist Inigo Gilmour spent seven weeks for Channel 4 News comparing events inside the Greenzone - the heavily fortified US military garrison in Baghdad - with that of Sadr City - a poor and over-populated suburb that is also Baghdad's largest Shia neighbourhood.
He discovered that despite good intentions, the American military is failing comprehensively in the most important battle of all - the one to win hearts and minds.
