Today the company announced a massive investment at its Castle Bromwich plant in Birmingham to allow it to build new electric versions of its Jaguar range. That should secure 2,500 jobs and will provide some reassurance that the possibility of a no-deal Brexit will be less damaging than feared for the car industry.
But he warned that there could still be tough decisions to come on Brexit.
