The question was put after a Scottish Court ruled that he had not given his true reasons for suspending parliament. Mr Johnson also said he could see the rough "landing space" for a Brexit deal. Some in Westminster think that could mean a new compromise on the Northern Ireland backstop and a reworked deal getting through the Commons with the help of Brexit supporting Labour MPs.
