Relatives of the victims of the serial killer Stephen Port have long claimed that homophobia was a factor in the police failure to catch him sooner.
Now, a report from the police watchdog seen exclusively by this programme reveals that "discrimination" and "bias" could have played a part in those failings.
The Met have always claimed that a lack of "professional curiosity" was to blame - rather than any wider issues.
But as Minnie Stephenson reports - the police watchdog is also concerned about systemic discrimination within the force against LGBTQ officers.
