The rebels - known as M23 - have seized a swathe of the country's east, and are accused by the UN of carrying out massacres and rapes.
The DRC and the UN accuse Rwanda of supporting the rebel group, which it denies. So far, the UK has refused to condemn Rwanda - the country to which it hopes to send its asylum claimants.
