The Assad regime ran a network of detention centres across the country, filled with Syrians arrested without warrant, all in the name of silencing voices of dissent.
Using data from the United Nations, we locate over ninety of these facilities.
Pieced together with witness testimony and satellite imagery, we reveal Assad’s vast and heavily coordinated network of brutality.
