As the only diamond-selling dancehall artist in music history, Shaggy has sold more than 40 million albums.
The singer had an unlikely route to becoming a two-time Grammy Award winner: it was during his tenure serving as a US Marine - including a stint during the First Gulf War - that he discovered he had a unique singing talent.
