But today that was lifted, revealing that a dataset with the personal information of nearly 19,000 Afghans, who'd applied for the Afghan relocation scheme had been released in error by an MOD official in 2022.
Those individuals were then potentially at risk of harm from the Taliban, which led the government to set up a secret relocation scheme.
7,000 Afghans are being relocated here at a cost of £850 million but it could rise to billions.
