The debilitating condition with a range of symptoms including severe exhaustion and constant pain, affects around 400,000 people in England and Wales.
But with little funding allocated, is the plan enough to deliver the progress and recognition they need?
Minister for Public Health and Prevention, Ashley Dalton, said that the plan 'will help tackle the stigma and lack of awareness of this condition through improved training for NHS staff'.
The Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust told us: 'Due to patient confidentiality, we cannot comment on individual patient cases or discuss specific clinical interactions.'
