But already, settlers are back encroaching even closer to the Palestinian village of Umm al-Khair - openly setting up four mobile homes within metres of it.
The man who shot Awdah, internationally sanctioned settler Yinon Levi, still hasn't been charged. Further evidence, say many, of the two-tier justice Israel operates - putting its people first and Palestinians second in the West Bank.
