The Qatari Prime Minister and Turkey's intelligence chief arrived in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh on the same day as Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law, and special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Egypt's President suggested Donald Trump should come for a signing ceremony, and there is speculation he will come to Israel to greet the hostages if they are released.
But there is still much to hammer down, not least the location and timing of the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the people Hamas wants freed in return for the Israeli hostages and the extent of Hamas’ disarmament.
