Julia Wandelt and friend Karen Spragg were accused of waging a "campaign of harassment" against Kate and Gerry McCann. Spragg was acquitted of all charges.
Wandelt was found guilty of harassment and sentenced to six months in prison, which she has already served.
In a statement, the McCanns said they "take no pleasure in the result", and added that they "only wanted the harassment to stop."
