Meanwhile, more US troops are on their way and Israel said it has killed Iran's Navy Commander, Alireza Tangsiri, who it called "directly responsible" for blocking shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has not commented on the killing and carried out strikes on Kuwait, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi, where two people were killed.
