President Cyril Ramaphosa has defended the country following weeks of anti-migrant protests and violence that have forced hundreds of foreign nationals to flee or be repatriated.
Speaking after talks with Kenya's President William Ruto, Ramaphosa announced South Africa will send envoys across Africa and beyond to explore how other countries are dealing with migration.
The comments come after a wave of anti-immigrant unrest, with Mozambique saying five of its citizens were killed in attacks linked to the violence.
