The Minister of Agriculture, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, is leading the planned revolution of Nigeria's agriculture and according to him; the risk of GM crops and bio-technology must be taken to assess what can be useful to the country. He notes that regulatory system will be put in place to adequately test the technology just as the bio-safety act passed by the Senate and yet to be signed into law by President Jonathan, will also play a role.
