The movies, Apaye, Omo Elemosho, accident and A mole from a home received nominations in different categories with major competitions coming from movies from SouthAfrica and Ghana. The best actress prize enlisted Nigerian actresses Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Clarion Chukwura and the entire Lagos Couga lead casts, including Uche Jombo- Rodriquez, Monalisa Chinda and Daniella Okeke.
The lead actor nominees are Nollywood's Kanayo o Kanayo and Joseph Benjamin with competition from Ghana's Majid Michael and south Africa's Zengo Ngqobe.
The remains of the late hiphop music star, Zara Garreti was laid to rest at the Ikoyi Cemetery after a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Cathedral.
