Though the committees had a short period to meet in the second week in May due to the World Economic Forum that was held in Abuja, some committees were able to get some work done.
It was just two days of meeting -- May 5 & 6 - and while some committees met behind closed door some of other Committees chairmen said they were making progress.
The Committee on Transportation has taking a stand on the merger of agencies in the aviation sector recommending that the government should suspend the implementation of the white paper recommending the merger.
On revenue sharing formula, the Committee on Devolution of Power also recommended that the Federal government should reduce allocation to 42.5 per cent, State government 35 per cent and the Local government 22.5 per cent.
The regular guest on the programme, Mr Atedo Peterside, is a delegate at the national conference and also the president and founder of ANAP Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to promoting good governance.
Mr Peterside gives a breakdown of the progress made so far and expectations ahead.
