A former Peoples Democratic Party's governorship aspirant and the executive secretary, Centre for Alternative Police perspectives and Strategy, Dr Umar Ardo, told Channels Television on Friday that the State House of Assembly had not violated any law by using the media as a means of serving the notice.
There have been controversies surrounding the serving of impeachment notice to the governor, with a court order restraining the lawmakers from serving the notice on the Governor.
The House met on June 18 and made charges against the governor. The Clerk was directed to serve the notice of impeachment on the governor and his deputy.
After all efforts to reach the governor and the deputy failed, the Clerk sought to pass the notice through the court but the court asked the lawmaker to deliver the notice by hand.
