That's according to a real estate expert, Mr Femi Ogunleye and the Managing Director, Cowry Assets Management Ltd, Mr Johnson Chukwu.
Although they commended FG's efforts through the launch of the 10,000 affordable housing mortgage scheme under the Nigerian Housing Finance Programme, they believe this is not sufficient enough to bridge the housing deficit gap in the country.
They urged the Government to provide a stable macroeconomic environment to create long term funding as well as raise the income level in order to increase the chances of affordability.
