The Senate President Had on Monday urged State Legislators to avoid undue attachment to Governors to ensure that there is true separation of power.

On Sunrise Daily on Tuesday, Mr Adetokunbo Adedeji of Professionals For Change said that legislators in states had always tried to uphold the separation of power between them and the Governor, stressing that "it is not right for the Senate President to describe the state legislators as appendages of the State Governors".
