as posted by the channelOne of the most horrific attacks happened in a mosque in Borno State, where the militants walked into a mosque, and gunned down more than 40 people. Boko Haram attacks have claimed nearly 200 lives this past week.
While seeking an end to the crisis, the President’s Media Adviser, Mr Femi Adeshina, said the government is open to negotiation with the boko haram, if they take the option. But he says the government will not be negotiating from a position of weakness, but of strength.
Things are, however, not back to normal at the resort town in Tunisia, where 38 tourists were killed nearly two weeks ago.
The attack has put a Dampener on the country’s economy, which is dependent on tourism. Many of the tourists have fled, while Britain is left to bury its dead, having had the highest number of tourists killed in the attack.
Now, the government has declared a state of emergency, to give security forces more powers and limit the right to public assembly.
