10:38Now PlayingA Nigerian lawmaker, Igariwe Onwe, said that some members of the National Assembly had gone to court to challenge the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to share funds, as bailout to states that could not pay workers salaries.
He said that, as much as the lawmakers sympathise with the state workers, the lawmakers felt that the President could not sacrifice political expediency on the altar of constitutionalism.
"We has gone to court to challenge what we feel is an arbitrary act of the Federal Government," Mr Onwe said.
