14:01Now PlayingIt was a Saturday like none other in Egypt, tragedy struck after Metro Jet air bus A321 was ripped apart in the air enroute to St Petersburg in Russia from the red sea port of Sinai
None of the 224 people on board the plane survived the crash.
The real cause of this fatal crash is now the question on the lips of many, including Russian investigators who are currently searching for clues about how the plane was downed.
Reports released by investigators say the plane was not struck from the outside and that the pilot did not make a distress call before it disappeared from radar.
Meanwhile the airline authorities believe strongly the crash could only have occurred due to an external influence insisting the crash could not have been caused by technical faults or human error.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has described the crash as an "enormous tragedy" and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
