12:24Now PlayingA development economist, Bolaji Ogunseye, has stressed the need for those in governance in Nigeria to be more serious with their functions, expressing dismay over reports that the 2016 budget is missing.
He told Channels Television on Friday that those in governance should handle the issue with a sense of urgency.
"We are in tough times and the people have great expectations from the government considering its promises during campaign.
"The budget can't get lost and I don't think it should get lost.
"There is such a thing as a sense of urgency and I think that if there was ever a time that we are in that kind of situation when the sense of urgency should operate, it is now,” he said.
