Canada’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women is an under reported social issue that has received a great deal of attention by the media and government.

Although the exact number of Indigenous women, girls, and missing individuals including those who have been murdered in Canada over the past 30 to 40 years is unknown since there is no National Database for missing people, a recent research shows that since 1980, more than eleven hundred indigenous women and girls have been murdered or gone missing. Many of these murder cases remain unresolved up to date.

However, the recent brutal murder of a 15-year old rallied the nation to stand up to the violence. We follow the story.
