This was disclosed on Wednesday by the Comptroller General of Customs, Hammed Ali, during a visit to Maigatari border in Jigawa state.
While addressing Customs personnel and community leaders at the border town, Mr Ali stated that the closure is to ensure that criminals do not come in through the porous borders to perpetrate crimes freely.
