Mister Onoja, who was until his appointment the Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello, was immediately sworn in by the State Chief Judge, Justice Nasir Ajana.
He replaces the embattled former Deputy Governor, Simon Achuba, who was impeached by the lawmakers last week over various allegations of misconduct which he has denied.
